Beauty and Joy of ‘the way of tea’

This is a programme where you can experience the spirit of Cha no yu (Way of Tea) through the experience of the tea ceremony (tea gathering and practice) and take away the essence of mindfulness that you can apply in your daily life when making tea at home.
The Way of Tea, often translated as ‘Tea Ceremony’, is a way of life that learns from and seeks to integrate with nature as a teacher, and is expressed in the attitude of making a bowl of tea.
It could be said to be an art of returning to the original human way of being, which is to love, enjoy and appreciate the wonders and beauty that exist in this world, every day and every moment.
We will guide you in your approach to mindfulness so that this experience will not only be a special memory of your time in Kamakura, Japan, but also something you can apply to your daily life back home.

It is an aesthetic way of welcoming guests, in which everything is done according to an established order.
