Spring in Kamakura brings warm sunshine and clear skies.
On this particular day, we were lucky enough to see Mount Fuji clearly from the coast. As the weather becomes warmer, the number of days when Fuji appears this clearly slowly becomes fewer — which made this tour feel even more special.
Our guests from the United States were visiting Japan for the first time and were about to start a cruise around the country.
Before their journey continued, we spent a wonderful day exploring Kamakura together.
A Scenic View of Mount Fuji from Inamuragasaki

Inamuragasaki is one of the best places in Kamakura to see Mount Fuji together with Enoshima Island and the ocean.
On this day, the sky was completely clear. Even a local surfer passing by smiled and said, “You’re lucky today!”
It was the perfect start to the tour.
Visiting the Great Buddha and Hasedera Temple

After enjoying the ocean view, we visited two of Kamakura’s most famous landmarks — the Great Buddha and Hasedera Temple.
Hasedera is especially beautiful in every season and offers one of the best views over the city and the sea.
It’s a peaceful place where visitors can experience the spiritual atmosphere of Kamakura..

Exploring Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Next, we walked through Komachi Street and arrived at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, the heart of Kamakura.
Learning how to purify your hands at the shrine’s water pavilion is one of those small cultural moments that make traveling in Japan so memorable.
Lunch at a 102-Year-Old Soba Restaurant

For lunch, we visited Minemoto, a beloved local soba restaurant with more than 100 years of history.
Our guests ordered beef soba and oyakodon, and they especially loved the green tea served with the meal — enjoying several refills!
